Corrections to the India Se magazine interview below:
1) I am an academic publisher, not a lawyer!

3) I never did take a creative writing course
4) The answer to the second to last question does not quite make sense – the danger of condensing an interview into print. I was trying to say that the scenes were not out of place because of the character of the mother and her approach to painting.
